Good News

So I'm watching the News with Brian Williams last night and at the end of the broadcast Mr. Williams mentions that with all the bad news lately the NBC Nightly News is looking for more Good News stories. There are tens thousands of good news stories in facebook and here in the BeachBody message boards, so I think it's time we all team up and let Brain and the rest of the country know what's going on. Go to the link below and tell your good news story. Collectively we can help more people get fit and healthy and certainly make a dent in the bad news. http://dailynightly.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2009/03/04/1820270.aspx

Please copy and paste this note and spread the good news!

Peace,

Tony

Tony...getting your news from Brian Williams and NBC is like eating a box of Krisy Kremes during Plyo X.

Tony,
I met you at a Tony Horton live a few yrs ago in Chicago. I am 47 yr old female, physician. I have been at P90x for 3+ yrs, also lots of sport like tennis and skiing. I saw 10 min trainer infomercial for first time today, I was so moved by the stories, and by your level of passion for folks like Ira. Your a gem of a man! I am completely addicted to being fit and healthy and cannot tell you how many folks I have influenced and sent to your programs. Also can't tell you how many times I have literally popped up from what should have been injury producing falls on the mountain, or pushed through to victory on the tennis court when the opponent was superior to me in technique, but less fit! Thanks for what you do for the folks, keep bringing it to us, and I will be bringing it for life!

Tony, you are a great American, my friend. And that's just what I told 'em over there at NBC! You've always been there for me and for countless others around the world, in good times and bad.

Yes, bad times are upon us all, but pressing play is always a sure thing to not make you fall.

Thanks, dude

I know that this is off topic, but I have a quick question. My name is Rick Johnson. My dad is Paul. He is 43. He is 6'1" and his weight fluctuates from 190 to 200. We have done P90X twice and have started to integrate your plus workouts and one on one recently. We have gotten some great results, but are still striving for more. Anyways, we have been wondering for some time what your height and weight are.

Tony - My good news about health and fitness is that I just returned home to Cleveland, Ohio from Santa Monica and totally enjoyed "playing" with the ropes, rings and bars, down at the pier. Those ropes can be used for P90X+++!

As a trainer of 20yrs. I just wanted to say thanks for your quality products. I'm a big fan and admire the impact you've made.

Tony,

I hope you see this post. I just got back from training a client and was listening to Sirius XM's NFL Network. One of the hosts (Solomon Wilcox..former NFL Player) was saying he couldn't sleep so he got up and put in his P90X DVD (Plyo) and got a great workout! He said he loved the system and was trying to convince his co-host (Adam Schein) to get on the P90X bandwagon.

So wouldn't you know it, the next caller up starts a mini informmrcial singing the praises of P90X. Adam Schein's comment: "I'm going to have to check this out!"

It's spreading like wildfire! How long until Saturday Night Live spoofs you? lol

You should have someone from BB contact the NFL newtork (Culver City) to get you on there since Solomon also works for them as a co-host. Talk about your target audience!

Yours In Fitness,

GKC

Best shape of my life - You bet! Better still, my diet, sleep patterns, and ability to handle stress have improved dramatically.

This is a very big deal for me. I was diagnosed with manic depression ten years ago. Years of various medicines and cognitive therapy failed to reign in recurrent mood instability. An up phase only meant that a down phase was imminent - a constant problem for me and those whom I love.

Nothing - not even my routine workout programs - did the trick. Erratic sleep was my biggest problem. For those not familiar with manic depression, disrupted sleep cycles are a huge contributor to mood swings.

I'm about to start my 10th week of P90X. I haven't felt this good since I was a teenager. For over thirty years, I've struggled with mood instability (the first twenty years - like many - I went undiagnosed). Now I sleep more restfully and for longer periods than I ever remember. I wake up refreshed, if not a little sore from yesterday's workout. What's more, I'm fitter than I've ever been. That's saying a lot for someone who has run, lifted weights, and played competitive sports for nearly thirty-five years.

I can't wait to get up in the morning, pop in a DVD, and get moving with Tony and the kids.

P90X is the ticket! We've sharply reduced some of my drug dosages; others are out completely. For me, there's nothing more valuable or more important. The FDA and psychiatric community have yet to perform well-defined studies of the adverse long-term health effects of various anti-convulsives, anti-depressants, and anxiolytics. They rationalize that the short-term benefits - however elusive for many patients -justify the undefined risks. If I commit suicide at fifty, what's the difference if my liver was slowly moving from slightly toxic to life-threatening.

P90X is my secret weapon against a chronic disorder that I'll never fully escape, but which is my responsibility to manage every day, in every way.

Decide, commit, find peace.

Tony, late in '07 I was diagnosed with a-fib of the heart,After my operation in May '08,my doctor told me to lose a few pounds. While I am not fat and in decent shape for a 50 yr. old I looked for a fun but tough way to get in ideal shape. My son told me about P90x.I started in January and LOVE working out again. You are making a difference in my life and I just wanted to thank you.My wife just recently started the program and is now addicted.Although I have brief bouts with a-fib (takes a year to heal} I will never stop the program.Your P90x program gives me the will and toughness to overcome this problem and any thing the future may bring..Thanks again Tony!!!

Well, at least I'm in good company when I think the Yoga_X dvd kicks my arse.......from www.people.com

"GET 'TWEET' INSPIRATION

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore have been openly sharing their workout woes on Twitter. The actor recently admitted he had to step up his fitness regimen for an upcoming role. "Time to get serious. I'm so paranoid about doing scenes with my shirt off." Meanwhile, his wife has also spilled about keeping up with her man. "I have only done the yoga DVD of the P90X so far and that kicked my a--! The husband is banging it out everyday though! I need to motivate!!" Get some motivation of your own with exercise tips on Health.com's Twitter feed! – Elaine Aradillas "

Your star is only rising higher, Mr. Horton, again, well earned and well deserved.

Dear Tony,

I am 3 months into P90X, and you are changing my life, to be sure. As a teacher myself, I truly appreciate your knowledge and contagious passion. I saw a segment on NBC recently about fitness training/rehab for our soldiers who return home injured. It made me wonder if you've ever considered spreading your good work to training courses for our recuperating vets. That would truly "make a difference."

Thanks again, AB
